What an incredible Thursday night we had here at Heritage First Church of God! On August 27th, our church family had the absolute honor of hosting the players and coaches of the West Ridge High School football team for a special community dinner. (Be sure to check out the photos below)!

Good Food and Great Fellowship

To help fuel the Wolves for their big week, our kitchen crew cooked up a massive feast. We served loaded BBQ sandwiches with all the fixins', alongside the team’s absolute favorite—creamy, delicious macaroni and cheese.

Of course, no Heritage First Church of God dinner is complete without dessert! The players filled up on homemade cookies, brownies, and a crowd favorite: the absolute best banana pudding in the region.

A Message on Teamwork

Before dinner, Pastor William stepped up to share an encouraging message with the team. He spoke about the true meaning of teamwork, pointing out how looking out for one another and working toward a common goal matters both on the football field and in life. It was a wonderful moment of connection and inspiration for the young athletes.

A Winning Weekend!

We are thrilled to report that the Wolves went on to win their game on Friday night! While we know their hard work and talent won the game, we would like to think our BBQ and macaroni and cheese gave them a little extra motivation!

This amazing night wouldn't have been possible without our incredible church volunteers. From the pitmasters and cooks to the servers and cleanup crew, thank you for working so hard to make this a special, welcoming night for our local students. You truly showed the hands and feet of Jesus to our community!
